Daphine parete Lumina

Histoire
Lumina beagan with an idea from Tommaso Cimini who designed the Daphine in a basement in 1973. The first pieces ordered were produced entirely by hand, by two employees. Daphine was presented the following year, at the Fiera Campionaria in Milan. Thanks to the charm of its modern and simple lines, it excited immediate interest everywhere. Lumina was officialy established
in 1975 with the intention of designing and building light fixtures that"could dress nothinf more than what is necessary". Riccardo Blumer, Yaacov kaufman, Walter Monici and Emanuele Ricci were among the many famous designers who joined Tommaso Cimini's design team.

They helped to create an increasingly beautiful product line year after year. In 1987 the increase in activity forced the company to leave theirsmall workshop and move to an 11000 m² location, of wich 3500 m² are covered, still in Arluno today. Between 1992 and 1994 two subsidiary companies - one in Germany near Stuggart and one ine Switzerland near Solothurn - have opened and have since moved to larger, more modern locations. During 2005 Lumina, looking towards the future, enlarged its premises in Arluno. Today there are 40 people working in the factory.

Made in Italy 
All of our products are made from materials bought only from Italian suppliers, thus promoting “made in Italy”. We rely on clever craftsmen and highly specialized family-owned factories to produce the most aesthetical and practical results. The entire Lumina production is assembled in the factory of Arluno, near Milan, Italy. All of our Lumina clients and commercial partners are invited and welcome to see how our light fixtures are manufactured, carefully finished and tested before delivery. Lumina has helped in its market area to promote the excellence of Italian taste and style in the world: its production is distributed in over thirty-five foreign countries in the world with a share of over 80% in export. Design
An idea must have an immediate impact, it must fascinate right away. A beautiful object is not complete if it has not been designed considering functionality and visual comfort: it should not follow fashion, but meet the human needs, it must generate a good light, it must be easy, safe and handy and have a long life.

Futur
For more than thirty years, Lumina products have been known and appreciated worldwide as high quality light fixtures for residential use; recently, new light fixtures have been designed, where spare energy light sources can be used, thus allowing to extend the refined and personal “residential atmosphere” to public areas such as restaurants, bars, reception halls and hotel rooms, offices, shops, show rooms etc. The specially designed project toolings and the customizing processes of the standard products allow the planners and the specifiers to recognize the most suitable solutions for their Customers.
